The UN OCHA-Ethiopia is supporting the DPPC Information Centre to monitor the response towards the current crisis in Ethiopia. The Centre will act as a focal point for collecting information on contributions towards the emergency and will address the problems of lack of consistent and common methodologies for collecting and processing common data, lack of standardization of basic coding and data structures. The project will develop prototype data applications for Resource monitoring, and the harmonization of existing DPPC applications. The project will provide “one-stop-shopping” information services by establishing both an Information and Documentation Centre (Walk-in Centre) and a virtual on-line web site where humanitarian agencies and individuals can access information freely.
